Specialized Coaching and Skills Development for Juniors ages 9-13

Our New Competitive Golfer Program Offers Specialized Coaching and Skills Development for Juniors ages 9-13 Henry Brunton Golf, Canada’s Junior Golf Leader, will be offering New Competitive Golfer (NCG) – a specialized coaching and training program for aspiring competitive golfers ages 9-13. Led by outstanding PGA Professional Matt Wilson, a TPI Certified Junior Coach, the NCG Program provides kids with an opportunity to receive age appropriate professional coaching and training. This is a dynamic program that enables boys and girls to acquire the necessary fundamentals, skills and confidence to become successful competitive golfers.

NCG is aligned with the Golf Canada Long-Term Player Development Guide and the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). Henry Brunton Golf is a recognized Golf Association of Ontario (GAO) Golf Development Centre. NCG graduates may move up the development pathway into our Strive for Excellence Program for golf athletes ages 14-18.

Maturing into a champion both on and off the course is an exciting challenge for young athletes and their families. It takes considerable commitment, support, feedback and guidance. A professional coaching influence combined with effective training, practice and competition is paramount in this process.

New Competitive Golfer offers a holistic approach to developing and nurturing young athletes so that they mature into the finest golfers and most outstanding people possible. This program is for any youngster who is interested in developing into a top-level junior golfer and advancing to the NCAA level or beyond. Space is limited.

NCG Coaching and Training Activities

The New Competitive Golfer Program offers three training and coaching program possibilities- interested boys and girls can participate in any and all of these as they choose.

NCG Winter Indoor Training Program: January 14-March 4 at Metro Dome

  • 8 private coaching sessions – 1 hour each (30 minutes full swing fundamentals and technique and 30 minute short game coaching) scheduled weekly.
  • 8 Skills Development Training Sessions- 1 hour each- scheduled weekly on Sunday mornings from 9am-10am with a 6:1 athlete/coach ratio max
  • Club fitting and skills assessment using TrackMan
  • Physical screen by Dr. Martichenko (with a report to parents) and available for any injury/rehab issues
  • Parent/Guardian support webinar conducted by Henry Brunton


Tuition 

  • $799 +HST
  • Facility access included in tuition- no additional fees
  • 10% discount for payment by Feb 1 for all 3 NCG Programs

NCG Spring Training Program: April 15-June 30 at Eagles Nest GC

  • 5 private coaching sessions 1 hour each- 30 minutes long game and 30 minutes short game
  • 5 Skills Development Training Sessions- 2 hours each
  • 4 on-course coaching and training sessions- 2 hours
  • Tournament Skills Preparation Training
  • Coach observation and support at a designated event
  • Club Fitting and skills assessment ongoing using TrackMan
  • Physical screen by Dr. Martichenko (with a report to parents) and available for any injury/rehab issue
  • Parent/Athlete support workshop conducted by Henry Brunton

NCG Summer Training Program: July 6-September 17 at Eagles Nest GC

  •  5 private coaching sessions 1 hour - 30 minutes long game and 30 minutes short game
  •  5 Skills Development Training Sessions- 2 hours each
  •  4 on-course coaching and training sessions- 2 hours each
  •  Tournament Skills Preparation Training
  •  Coach observation and support at a designated event
  •  Club Fitting and skills assessment ongoing using TrackMan
  •  The Road to College Golf workshop conducted by Henry Brunton
