Camp Overview

The 9th Annual “Strive for Excellence” Spring Break Training Camp will be held in March 2011 in Orlando, Florida. This camp provides young golfers with a unique and enjoyable skills development opportunity.

Participating athletes will receive professional coaching, structured practice, and simulated competition. The camp is designed to train and prepare players for the 2011 competitive season and beyond.

There will be considerable emphasis on the establishment of key competitive golf skills and habits. All important competitive golf preparation habits, execution strategies, rules and game management tactics will be taught and reinforced. Players will be able to transfer new skills to an on course competitive environment.

There will be a 54-hole Ryder Cup-style Team Competition contested, the players will get an opportunity to observe the world’s best players preparing and practicing at the local PGA Tour event, and then compete in the 54-hole SFE Spring Break Championship Tournament during the final three days of the camp.

  • To provide first rate coaching, training, and feedback to participating athletes
  • To transfer skills and habits to the course under tournament pressure
  • To introduce, learn, and apply key competitive golf skills and habits
  • To practice, train, and prepare for the upcoming competitive golf season
  • To interact and get first hand exposure to PGA professioanls and an NCAA Division I golf program
  • To compete in simulated Ryder Cup-style Team Matches and a 54-hole SFE Spring Break Championship – individual format.

Travel to Florida
Space on flights will be reserved for interested players, parents/guardians and family members. Participants may take the option of finding their own flights, if necessary. Group travel details are finalized in early February.
