We are proud to offer the following high-quality golf coaching programs for juniors at Bathurst Glen Golf Course in Richmond Hill. These programs align with the Golf Canada Long-Term Athlete Developmental Model. All youths interested in sports are encouraged to participate as these programs are fun and fast-paced!

Spring and Summer Programs

Program #1 - Active Start Program for Kids Ages 5-7

Led by Henry Brunton Coach and one of Canada’s top junior coaches, Matt Wilson, the Active Start Program introduces children aged 5-7 to the 4 basic shots of golf in a fun and safe environment. Using SNAG, regular equipment, and the TPI SMASH system, students will learn golf skills and fundamental athletic movements, as well as etiquette, safety and the basic rules of golf. All instruction is founded in fun and is communicated in a fashion that resonates with children. Everyone is encouraged to repeat the program, as repetition is essential for mastering golf skills – it also happens to be fun. Classes are 70 minutes in length. Space is limited to the first 12 registrants.

Innovative four-week program for boys and girls ages 5-7
Saturday's in May from 11:00am-12:10pm (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th)
Children will be exposed to the four basic shots in a fun and safe environment using SNAG equipment.
The movement skill program follows the Titleist Performance Institute Model to build athletic movements and create an "active start"
No experience or equipment necessary
4:1 athlete/coach ratio maximum
High quality learning opportunity led by Matt Wilson, PGA and TPI Certified – One of Canada’s leading junior golf coaches
All participants will be fitted for US Kids Clubs after the first session
Program tuition - $149 plus HST (Total $168.37)

Program #2 - CN FutureLinks Clinics for Kids Ages 8-12

The CN FutureLinks Clinics build on what we’ve learned in Active Start and delve deeper into the game's fundamentals. The clinics focus on developing swing fundamentals and ball striking skills to enable participants to play the game. Coaches will work on individual techniques and add content and exercises that are appropriate to the strengths and skill-levels of the participants, so that they can get out on the course. Juniors are also given the opportunity to build their own golf courses using our equipment to facilitate both skill development and a passion for the game, while developing proper etiquette and a basic understanding of the rules. Classes are 70 minutes in length. Space is limited to the first 15 registrations.

Program #3: Henry Brunton Junior League

Golf league for kids who are course ready and have developed the necessary fundamentals and ball striking skills to play the game. Ideal for graduates of our Skills Development Clinic Series
Game Day - Mondays from 6pm-8pm weekly - 30 minute coaching clinic on the range followed by 90 minutes on the course playing. coaches supervise and teach rules, etiquette, sportsmanship, scoring, etc.
US Kids Golf Junior Course Set Up - age-appropriate course length and set up
Special scorecards - fun scoring system - non-threatening environment - weekly prizes
Clubs are required. All participants will be fit for equipment before the 1st Game. Please do not buy clubs beforehand unless fit by our staff
Game balls will be provided
6:1 golfer-to-coach maximum ratio
Spring League - April 23-June 18 (8 weeks - no game on May 21)
Summer League - July 9-Sept 3 (8 weeks - no game on August 6)
Program tuition - $399 + HST

Program #4: Henry Brunton Golf Junior Camp - Canada's

leading golf camp for boys and girls ages 7-15

Weeks offered for 2012: July 2-6th, 9-13th, 16-20th, 23-27th August 7-10th (4 day week $319), 13-17th, 20-24th, 27-31st.
Space is limited to 25 participants per week.
Full-day program: drop off at 8:30am and pick up at 3:30pm. Early drop off and late pick up arrangements are available for $10.00 a day.
Participants learn to play golf through morning skills development and on course play and coaching after lunch every afternoon. Green fees included in tuition.
Daily Schedule: 8:30-9:00am dynamic warm up, 9:00-10:30am skills training, 10:30-11:00am snack, 11:00-12:00 skills training, 12:00-12:45pm lunch 1:00-3:30pm 9 holes on course.
Fun and active program. Exciting and interactive for kids.
Nutritious lunches and snacks included (Mon: Wraps, Tues: Chicken & Veal Sandwiches, Weds: Homemade Pizza. Thurs: Pasta with meatballs, Friday: Burgers and Sausages, Snacks include vegetables, fruit and muffins).

Special Note - Course Access at Bathurst Glen Golf Course

Golf course and practice facility access can be an issue for young golfers. Our partners at Bathurst Glen Golf Course in Richmond Hill and the Toronto Region Conservation Authority are model supporters of youth development. All 2012 Henry Brunton Golf Junior Program participants may play Bathurst Glen for a special green fee of $25 for 18 holes or $20 for 9 holes or play free anytime after 3pm if accompanied by a paying adult. In addition, Henry Brunton Junior Program participants may purchase practice balls at the Bathurst Glen practice range for a special discounted price of $10 for a large bucket.
